How It Works

Your AI-Powered Money Manager

Four steps from install to financial clarity - no accounts, no cloud, no nonsense.

01

Install in Seconds

Download the Windows installer and run it. SpendStruck sets up locally on your computer and helps connect your budget to Claude Desktop.

02

Connect to Claude

Let the installer add SpendStruck to Claude Desktop, then restart Claude and say "Set up SpendStruck."

03

Ask Anything

"What did I spend on food last month?" "Show me my biggest categories." "Review this statement import." Claude helps turn your budget into plain-English answers.

04

Stay in Control

Your budget database lives on your machine with local encryption support. No SpendStruck account required, no bank login required, and no cloud finance account to manage.

Your finances are nobody's business but yours.

Claude may process what you choose to share in conversation, depending on your Claude settings. SpendStruck itself stores your budget locally with encryption support, and does not sync it to a cloud database, store bank credentials, or require a SpendStruck account.

Privacy FAQ

What stays local?

SpendStruck is built to keep your budget on your computer while still giving you Claude's conversational help.

Does SpendStruck upload my budget to the cloud?

No. SpendStruck stores your structured budget data locally on your computer with encryption support. It does not create a SpendStruck cloud account, sync your budget to a SpendStruck server, or store your bank credentials.

Can Claude see my financial details?

Claude may process what you choose to share in conversation, including details you ask Claude to analyze or enter into SpendStruck. SpendStruck keeps the saved budget database local, but your Claude conversations are handled according to your Claude account settings and Anthropic's policies.

Is my Claude data used for model training?

Anthropic says consumer chats and coding sessions may be used to improve Claude if you allow model improvement, if a conversation is flagged for safety review, or if you otherwise opt in. We recommend checking your Claude privacy settings and turning off model improvement if you do not want your chats used for training. See Anthropic's model training article.

What about data Claude reads through SpendStruck?

Anthropic's privacy article says raw content from connectors, including remote and local MCP servers, is not included in model-improvement data, though content may be included if it is copied directly into your conversation with Claude. The practical rule is simple: only share financial details with Claude that you are comfortable having processed by Claude.

Does SpendStruck connect to my bank?

No. SpendStruck does not use bank sync, bank logins, or financial API integrations. You choose what files or details to provide, and imported transactions are staged for review before they are added to your ledger.
